Simon Balto is a Ph.D. candidate in the Departments of History and Afro-American Studies at the University of Wisconsin, where he studies African American History and the African Diaspora throughout the Americas. Jeff Kollath is the Curator of History at the Wisconsin Veterans Museum in Madison, Wisconsin.
