Laura Lavernia, MAAA, MAHP holds master’s degrees in Arts Administration and Historic Preservation from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Savannah College of Art and Design. Born in Havana, Cuba and raised in Miami, Laura has utilized her interdisciplinary background in art history and anthropology to pursue research in Caribbean and Afro-Cuban soundscapes, focusing primarily on the varied sonic heritage of exiled Cuban communities in South Florida.

Barrett Martin, MA is an American drummer (Skin Yard, Screaming Trees, and Mad Season), composer and producer.
